Hobby Boards UV sensor in a HUB configuration

Postby Gregal » Thu Jul 15, 2010 9:11 am

Has anyone written the code to use a Hobby Board UV sensor on a HUB? I see that the HUB configuration uses the container of 1-wire device and it looks like the EE container for the UV sensor is not supported?

A quote from the UV java doc

This class provides the interface to the Hobby Board's 1-wire UV sensor
device. Since the UV meter uses a custom 1-wire device, there isn't a
standard 1-wire container in the library. All communication with
the device using "raw" 1-wire commands.

any help would be appreciated.

I second that request. I just switched over to a 6 channel master hub from Hobby Boards. I tried to get the UV module working and had no luck. So is there any code for the UVmeter on hub?

Yes, I third this... I have been trying for days and cannot seem to get this to work with the hub. I know this is an old post but as yet there have been no replies and these forums are desserted compared to a couple of years ago.
I will keep trying to get the code to work and post back on here if I am successful or not.

Disappointingly, I have been trying for days now without success. I think the problem stems from the fact that there is no container class for this device, "EE", as it is a custom chip for Hobbyboards.
I am now going to try and make one from a template and see if that works.
Will keep you posted...
